Bremen

BREMAN, GERMANY PRODUCT ARCHIVE

Bremen is a city straddling the Weser River in northwest Germany. It is known for its role in maritime trade, represented by Hanseatic buildings on the Market Square. The ornate and Gothic town hall has a Renaissance facade and large model ships in its upper hall. Nearby is the Roland statue, a giant stone figure symbolizing freedom of trade. Saint Peter’s Cathedral features medieval crypts and twin spires.

Bremen is a major cultural and economic hub. The city is home to dozens of historical galleries and museums, ranging from historical sculptures to major art museums, including the Bremen Overseas Museum. The Bremen City Hall and the Bremen Roland are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Additionally, Bremen is well known through the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale “Town Musicians of Bremen,” and there is a statue dedicated to it in front of the city hall.
