Iznik Ceramic (named after the city of Iznik, Turkey) has been produced since the 15th century. Iznik ceramics were highly prized by the Ottoman Court. In fact, the world famous Blue Mosque gets it’s name from the thousands of Iznik tiles that line the interior. These ceramics are hand-painted using traditional techniques and motifs.
