Hand-painted Bud Vase 10 cm. Iznik Ceramic (named after the city of Iznik, Turkey) has been produced since the 15th century. Iznik ceramics were highly prized by the Ottoman Court. In fact, the world famous Blue Mosque gets it’s name from the thousands of Iznik tiles that line the interior. These ceramics are hand-painted using traditional techniques and motifs.

Iznik Pottery Art is located in the heart of the world famous Grand Bazaar.
Iznik, also known by its ancient name Nicaea, is a small city located on the eastern shores of Lake Iznik. Ancient Roman walls surround the city that is best known for its Ottoman-era hand-painted tiles.
