Turkey is home to seven distinct geographic regions: Aegean, Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, Marmara, Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia. The Black Sea Region sits along the coast of the Black Sea. The region is bordered by the Marmara Region to the west; Central Anatolia to the south; Eastern Anatolia to the southeast; the Republic of Georgia to the northeast.
